News: Official Phone Snap! Challenge Rules

Before you start snapping away and submitting your photos, please take some time to read the official rules below!

No purchase necessary to enter or win; a purchase does not improve your chance of winning; void where prohibited by law.

ELIGIBILITY:

Only legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including the District of Columbia) who are of legal age of majority in the jurisdiction in which they reside (and at least eighteen (18) years of age), and have a valid e-mail address are eligible to enter. Void in overseas U.S. territories, possessions, commonwealths and military installations, and where prohibited or restricted by law.

HOW TO ENTER:

Entrance rules for each Challenge and Giveaway vary. Please locate the applicable Challenge or Giveaway for its specific entry requirements.

Entries containing nudity, phone numbers, personal addresses, illegal activities or any other content, display, materials and/or images that is or could be considered inappropriate, unsuitable or offensive won't be accepted.

ENTRY PERIOD:

Start and end times are located on each individual Challenge and Giveaway.

WINNER DETERMINATION:

No participant may enter more than once using multiple e-mail addresses, and only one entry per e-mail address, unless otherwise noted in the Challenge or Giveaway.

GIVEAWAYS: All entrants who meet the requirements listed on the applicable Giveaway page will be entered into a random drawing to select the winner. Incorrect or incomplete entries will not be considered for drawings. Odds of winning vary on the amount of eligible entries submitted.

CHALLENGES: All entrants who meet the requirements listed on the applicable Challenge page will be entered into the contest. Incorrect or incomplete entries will not be considered. Winners will be chosen by WonderHowTo editorial staff based on value of the submission.

WINNER NOTIFICATION:

Winners will be notified via their e-mail address used to sign up on WonderHowTo. Only winners will be notified. If a winner does not respond within the time frame noted in the winning notification email, or no later than 30 days from that email notification, he/she forfeits their prize. A new winner may be awarded the prize, but WonderHowTo is not required to award forfeited prizes to other entrants; instead it may be use for future promotions.

CLAIMING PRIZES:

After receiving a winning email notification from WonderHowTo, you must reply with any needed information, which may include your phone number and physical address, within the time frame noted, or no later than 30 days from that email notification.

AWARDING PRIZES:

Prizes vary and can be located on each applicable Challenge or Giveaway page. If the prize is no longer available, WonderHowTo reserves the right to offer a substitute of equal or greater value.

Any and all prizes will be delivered only to an address in the United States. Prizes cannot be assigned, transferred, or changed except at the sole discretion of WonderHowTo. No substitution, transfer or cash equivalent of a prize or any portion thereof is permitted, except by WonderHowTo in its sole discretion. Winners may not request substitutions of prize winnings, and are responsible for any taxes and fees associated with receipt or use of the prize awarded.

Mailing addresses are required by the winner for physical prizes. If none is supplied within the time frame noted in the winning email notification (see Winner Notification above), it will result in forfeiture of the prize. Shipping prices paid by WonderHowTo. Prizes that can be sent via email (coupon codes, gift certificates, etc.) will not be given in the initial winning notification, instead waiting for confirmation from the winner before being awarded.

WonderHowTo does not ship prizes to winners residing outside of the United States.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY / PUBLICITY RELEASE:

By participating in the promotion and submitting an entry, all entrants agree to (i) be bound by these Official Rules, including all entry requirements, and (ii) waive any and all claims against WonderHowTo and their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the promotion, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents and representatives (collectively, "Released Parties") for any injury, damage or loss of any kind (including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property) that may occur, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from the participation in the promotion or from the acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any prize or activity related to the acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any prize. By acceptance of Prize, Winner grants WonderHowTo and its designees the right to publicize such winner's name, address (city and state of residence), photograph, voice and/or other likeness and prize information in any media now known or hereafter devised, throughout the world, in perpetuity without additional compensation or consideration, notification or permission, unless prohibited by law.

DISPUTES:

Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the state and/or federal courts located in Los Angeles, California; (ii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this promotion, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (iii) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and WonderHowTo in connection with the promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of California or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of California.

BY ENTERING, SUBMITTING AN ENTRY OR ATTEMPTING TO DO SO, AND/OR BY PARTICIPATING OR ACCEPTING ANY PRIZE, YOU HEREBY IRREVOCABLY WAIVE THE RIGHT TO ANY TRIAL BY JURY.

In case of a dispute as to the owner of an entry, entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the screen name from which the entry is made. The authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

PRIVACY POLICY:

Any personal information supplied by you to WonderHowTo shall be subject to, and treated in a manner consistent with, WonbderHowTo's privacy policy posted at https://www.wonderhowto.com/privacy/.

CHALLENGE / GIVEAWAY RESULTS:

To find out the name of the winner, please check the applicable Challenge or Giveaway page. To request the name of the winner by mail, send a self-addressed stamped envelope, specifying which Challenge or Giveaway you would like the results for, to WonderHowTo, Inc., 1832 Franklin Street, Santa Monica, CA 90404. Requests must be received within 30 days of the Giveaway entry deadline.
