The holidays are a wonderful time for people to get together and celebrate another year gone by. With all of these parties and gatherings being thrown, a "photobooth" is always a fun addition to the holiday festivities. Why not make some props to bring some extra life to your photos? In this week's Phone Snap Holiday Challenge, we are giving one lucky winner a chance to win a set of Photobooth Props from Etsy store, LittleRetreats just in time for the New Year. But if you've got some extra time, photobooth props are simple to make on your own!
What You'll Need
- Styrofoam sheets or poster board (I had extra poster boards, so that's what I used. But I recommend styrofoam, as it is the easiest to cut through.)
- Glue
- Scissors
- Thin dowels
- Utility knife
- Packaging tape
- Prop printouts (Mine are courtesy of Oh Happy Day)
Step 1 Cut Your Paper Printout and Glue It Onto the Foam or Board
Step 2 Use the Utility Knife to Cut Out Your Image
With the utility knife, carefully cut along the outline of your prop. Don't worry too much about jagged edges. For the most part, they won't be noticeable when used in the photos.
Step 3 Take a Dowel and Securely Tape it to the Back of the Prop
And that's it! Three simple steps to making fun photobooth props for your next gathering. Will you make some to use for New Year's? What props will you use? Post your photos to the Phone Snap corkboard.
