It's almost time for the new year and whether or not you believe that the world is coming to an end in 2012, you'll probably still want to document the momentous occasions that are to come. Here are five different types of photography apps that are available for both the iPhone and Android that will aid in capturing that moment when the clock strikes midnight, as well as many more to ollow throughout the year!
Panorama
360 Panorama is available in the App Store and Android Market for $0.99. Use your smartphone to create digital panoramas in a matter of seconds. Pan the camera and watch as images are stiched together right before your eyes. 360 Panorama also allows you to share your panorama via Facebook, Twitter and e-mail. If the app isn't available for your phone, if you're lucky enough, your device might already be equipped with a built-in panorama function in the default camera app.
Photo Sharing Apps
Use photo sharing apps such as Instagram and picplz to share photos of your New Year's Eve with friends. Both apps offer a variety of cool filters for your images, followed by a sharing option. The sharing options alow you to post your photos onto Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Tumblr, Foursquare and Posterous.
Photobooth

Pull up these apps at any party or gathering to create an instant photobooth. Utilizing either the front or back facing camera, choose a filter and the app will snap four consecutive images and create a photostrip that you can either share with friends on Facebook, Twitter or e-mail. Pocketbooth even allows the option to have photostrips printed and shipped to you.

Select photos from your phone or various apps to be printed out and shipped to anyone in the US and UK for as low as $1.49.
